The Normal Blood Sugar Blues

When you consistently have high blood sugars for an extended period of time, when you finally get your levels under control your normal blood sugars can sometimes feel like lows. I hate the way I feel when I have a low. It’s like all my energy is drained, and I can’t focus. Work becomes impossible. Pile on top of that the fact that my blood sugar is normal, and my body is just going to have to readjust from being so out of control, and it makes for a shitty day as a diabetic.

It is almost like a drug addiction, trying to clean up after hitting rock bottom.

So I am just going to do my best to stay positive. Really, that is half the battle. Once you can get you mind in a positive set, you can really focus on taking care of your diabetes. Taking care of yourself means not having to deal with complications like this that make things harder in the first place.

It all get easier with a positive attitude, or at least I hope it does.
